Our clients are a diverse group. Phrases such as at-risk, has a lot of potential, troubled, addict, unmotivated, and hasn’t found her niche are often used to describe the adolescents and adults with whom we work. Our clients are at many different points in their journey through life and we are here to meet them where they are and help them achieve long-term success.
Adolescents
For many of our adolescent clients we are seeking appropriate schools and programs of a therapeutic nature. We also work very effectively with families either looking for an alternative to their secondary school environment, or transitioning out of the therapeutic school model and are exploring a new traditional school environment.
Families
As much as we work with individuals, a great deal of the work we do is with the family unit as a whole. Regularly scheduled phone calls, meetings at coffee shops and are all ways we support the family through what can be a very taxing and emotionally draining time, As one Mom put it;
"Without the support of Bar, I’m not sure where our family would be now. The guilt, frustration, anger and
sadness of having a struggling child is profoundly painful for the entire family unit. Although I don’t deny that I’m
nervous about what lies next for our son, the impact of having a professional guiding our major decisions
regarding his education and recovery has been helpful beyond words."

Young Adults
Our young adult clients are often seeking therapeutic programs addressing various issues ranging from addiction to mental health. We work closely with the families to not only place clients into the appropriate setting, but also address life after treatment, whether that mean looking at their academic standing to ensure a successful transition back into the collegiate environment, or to explore non-academic routes to adulthood.
Adults
Our adult clients are seeking a change. Often times introduced to us via their family through an intervention, our adult clients present a wide range of needs and opportunities. We offer our adult clients the dignity and respect they deserve as they attempt to restructure their lives and provide them the greatest chance for long-term sobriety.
